This is a fully programmable TFT touch screen controller I have built with 2MB serial TTL interface with many features. A smart thing is that you can control it all via simple commando's on the TTL com port. I will descibe it in more details when I get time for it.
Here is shown the current PCB version - V3.0
Here is an older version of the controller. It is a little more advanced with a SD card reader, RS485 data communication and even a connector for an another display pinout standard. It can be used with either a capacitive or a resistive touch panel. On the bottom side there are foot prints for three more different types of pinouts.
Below you can see how fast the stored images can be changed on the screen. The display can have more than 250 full resolution images in the flash (800x480 pixels). These can quickly be replaced by sending simple RS232 commands to it. Each image has its own number, which is the start address of the image data in the flash. This is how the different images are called out.
In this video I use the "show picture command" and I am just sending commands like this: "pic(8192);" Simple as that.
Some older PCB versions:
I have made a lot of software for this display. Both firmware, Windows programming tools and a special bootloader for it. I will write more about it as soon as I have time for it. Here you can see the bootloader in action where it is uploading a full menusystem containing 154 files.
