We had some periodic faults on our feeders on our old APS Novastar LS60 Pick / Place machine. Sometimes they feeded the components wrong so the vacuum nozzle did not get a proper grip on the component. Therefore, we made a new controller and updated all the feeders. On the original PCB you had to set the feeder pitch on a dipswitch, but on our new controller you can just hold the button in and in that way learn the feeder pitch. After this update, the feeders never failed again. Today we no longer have the machine. We have since upgraded to a better and faster machine.
