Simple optocoupler test, 230Vac detector

This is an ultra simple test of a 230 volt detector. The test must determine if two 1206 SMD resistors get too hot when they have to sit in front of the optocoupler at 230 volts AC, as well as what the output signal looks like at different load resistors at the output of the optocoupler. Tested with 1K8 and 10K0 on the output. The two 1206's only get hand warm at 270 VAC input voltage so that's fine. The optocoupler used is a bidirectional type, LTV354.

Quick test circuit with 230 volt AC voltage on the orange leads :)

Output signal with 10K load resistor, perfect!

Output signal with 1K8 load resistor, this is bad.
